Navigating Change, Embracing Growth

The year 2024 was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride for me. Balancing work while carrying a baby and finally welcoming my little one was no easy feat.

Becoming a mother has been life changing. My routines have shifted drastically to make room for my new mom duties. Each day is a balancing act, and I’m continuously learning how to adapt and improve my processes at home.

Interestingly, this journey of adjustment and growth mirrors what I’ve seen happen at Frontline. Just as I’ve been navigating my new life, Frontline has been evolving too.

In the three months I was away, not only did I become a mom, but Frontline moved to a bigger office. All the while, recruitment made strides in refining its processes. The goal? To ensure the candidate experience remains smooth, efficient, and up to the high standards we’ve set.

Curious? Here’s a closer look:

1. Experience-Based Assessments – To better evaluate candidates’ knowledge, our team has tailored both accounting and non-accounting assessments to align with their professional experience. This personalized approach allows us to better assess their skills, especially those with international experience already.

2. Aptitude Test – Our Recruitment Officers developed an in-house aptitude test that goes beyond the surface-level technical qualifications, offering deeper insight into their strengths and potential that may not be immediately apparent from resumes or interviews.

3. Internal Trackers – At Frontline, our recruitment process is frequently praised by applicants for effectively guiding them through each stage. A key factor behind this is our use of internal trackers, which keeps our talent pool organized – ensuring candidates are updated throughout the process. We constantly refine and update these trackers as well to make the process as efficient as possible.

4.  Applicant Tracking System (ATS) – Since adopting a new recruitment software in 2023, we’ve continuously sought ways to maximize its features. Enhanced applicant tagging now allows us to monitor each candidate’s progress more effectively. Streamlined communication with applicants within the system has also allowed us to, ensuring a more seamless experience.

5.  Systems Manual – With continuous improvements comes the need for consistency, which is why we’ve made it a priority to keep our systems manual updated. This ensures our team maintains standardized procedures, preserving the quality and efficiency of our processes.

2024 has been a year of growth and transformation, both personally as a new mother and as part of the FAm. As I navigate the challenges of motherhood, I’m grateful for the unwavering support I’ve received which has made this journey smoother.

It’s been inspiring to see how Frontline has embraced growth and change. So, as we look ahead, I’m excited to see how we’ll continue to evolve, innovate, and uphold our commitment to excellence – both as a company and as individuals.
